When is Backup4all shown in the system tray?
Backup4all is minimized to the system tray when the Minimize to tray option from the Tools->Options->Startup window is checked and the user minimizes the main window. When the Close to tray option is checked Backup4all will not exit when you press the Close button , but instead it will always be displayed in the system tray .
The right-click menu of the tray icon allows to:
· | Show/Hide - shows/hides Backup4all's main window |
· | Backup Group - lists all the existing groups, to back them up without opening the main window |
· | Exit - closes Backup4all completely and removes it from the system tray. |
Tray Icon Hints:
1) | When backups are executed, restored or tested, the tray icon is animated and the name of the backup jobs are shown in the hint along with the current operation. |
2) | If the application is idle the Backup4all 3 text is displayed in the hint. |
3) | When a backup is finished with errors, these are shown in the tray icon too. The information will disappear when the main window of the application is opened. If you do not wish to see the information in case of errors, just uncheck Show errors in tray from the Tools->Options->Startup window. |
